Terms of Use

1. Agreeing to these terms

These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Russell Unlimited LLC ("we", "us") for the Weekend Wizard app. By using Weekend Wizard, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

2. What Weekend Wizard is, and isn't

Weekend Wizard is an AI helper that looks at photos you share, listens to you, and gives general, informational guidance for do-it-yourself repairs.

Weekend Wizard is not a licensed contractor, electrician, plumber, gas fitter, engineer, inspector or mechanic, and it does not replace one. Nothing Weekend Wizard says is professional advice, and using it does not create any professional relationship.

3. AI can be wrong

Weekend Wizard's answers, spoken instructions, photo markings, part identifications and safety checks can be incorrect or incomplete. The AI can't see everything around you. It may misunderstand what it hears or sees, point to the wrong part, or miss a hazard.

Price estimates are rough. What Weekend Wizard says a professional might charge, and how much you may have saved, are general U.S. figures, not quotes. Real prices vary by place, job and contractor.

Always check for yourself before you act, including against the manufacturer's instructions for your equipment.

4. Your responsibility for safety

You are solely responsible for:

• deciding whether to do a job at all, and whether you have the skills, tools and protective equipment to do it safely;
• shutting off and confirming power, water or gas is off before you work, whether or not Weekend Wizard reminds you;
• wearing appropriate protective equipment;
• following local building codes, permit rules, manufacturer instructions, and any landlord, HOA or warranty rules;
• the safety of other people and property around you;
• stopping and calling a qualified professional whenever you're unsure.

Weekend Wizard may pause to ask you a safety question, or decline to help with a step it judges dangerous. Answering a safety question means you are confirming the facts yourself. Weekend Wizard relies on your answer and can't verify it.

5. Jobs Weekend Wizard won't help with

Weekend Wizard is not designed for, and will not coach, work on:

• live wiring: panels, hot wires, anything with the power on;
• gas lines and gas connections;
• structural or load-bearing work;
• vehicle brakes, airbags, steering, suspension or fuel systems.

Don't use Weekend Wizard for these jobs, even if it seems to answer. Call a licensed professional.

6. Emergencies

Weekend Wizard is not an emergency service and can't call for help. If you smell gas, see sparking or smoke, or find water near live power, leave the area, get everyone out, and call 911 from outside.

7. Assumption of risk

Repair work carries real risks, including electric shock, fire, flooding, falls, cuts, burns, and other serious injury, death, and damage to property. You choose to do the work, and you knowingly and voluntarily assume all of these risks, whether or not you use Weekend Wizard's guidance.

8. Who can use Weekend Wizard

You must be at least [[MIN AGE]] years old and able to form a binding agreement to use Weekend Wizard.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use Weekend Wizard for anything illegal or to harm anyone;
• point the camera at other people, or record them, without their permission;
• try to reverse engineer the app, get around its safety features, or misuse, overload or extract data from the AI services behind it;
• use Weekend Wizard to build a competing product.

10. Third-party AI services

Weekend Wizard relies on AI services from other companies: Google (Gemini), Anthropic (Claude), and OpenAI if you allow it as a backup. The Privacy Policy explains what goes to each. We don't control those services and aren't responsible for their outages, delays, or the content they produce, beyond what these terms say.

11. Paid features

If we offer paid features, you buy them through Apple's In-App Purchase, and Apple's terms apply to billing and refunds.

12. Your license and our rights

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Weekend Wizard on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by these terms and the App Store's Usage Rules. The app is licensed, not sold. We and our licensors keep all rights in the app, its name and its content. Your photos and your projects are yours.

13. No warranty

Weekend Wizard is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We don't promise that Weekend Wizard will be accurate, safe, uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will find every hazard.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any injury, property damage, lost data or lost profits, arising from your use of Weekend Wizard or any repair work you do, even if we were told they were possible. Our total liability for all claims relating to Weekend Wizard is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for Weekend Wizard in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US$50.

Some places don't allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

15. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and hold harmless Russell Unlimited LLC and its owners and team from claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your repair work, your misuse of Weekend Wizard, or your breaking these terms.

16. Apple App Store terms

If you downloaded Weekend Wizard from Apple's App Store, you and we also agree that:

• Acknowledgement. These terms are between you and us only, not Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for Weekend Wizard and its content.
• Scope of license. Your license is limited to using Weekend Wizard on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the App Store's Usage Rules.
• Maintenance and support. We are solely responsible for any maintenance and support. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for Weekend Wizard.
• Warranty. To the extent any warranty is not effectively disclaimed, we, not Apple, are responsible for it. If Weekend Wizard fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) you paid for it. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Weekend Wizard.
• Product claims. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to Weekend Wizard, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
• Intellectual property. If a third party claims that Weekend Wizard or your use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim.
• Legal compliance. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Developer contact. Questions, complaints or claims about Weekend Wizard go to us, at the contact details below.
• Third-party terms. You must comply with any third-party terms that apply when you use Weekend Wizard, such as your wireless data service agreement.
• Third-party beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. Once you accept them, Apple has the right, and is deemed to have accepted the right, to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.

17. Disputes and governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally.

18. Changes and ending these terms

We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date, and tell you in the app if a change is significant. If you keep using Weekend Wizard after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms.

You can stop using Weekend Wizard at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms. Sections 3 to 7 and 13 to 19 continue to apply after these terms end.

19. General

If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Weekend Wizard. You may not transfer these terms. We may transfer them if our business changes hands.
